Hello from Chicago.  Last weekend we had a blast at Beauty Bar for Die Tonight, put on by Midnight Conspiracy and Dark Wave Disco.  The show was Bloody Bikini themed and featured Jason Tyler and Hood Internet along with residents.  From blood oozing out of foreheads to JoJo Baby‘s yellow hair and big bust came one of the better parties I’ve had the chance to witness in Chicago lately. Definitely a monthly worth marking your calendars for!

Our last night in Chicago was a Monday, and everyone knows where to go on Monday’s.  Debonair, one of my all-time favorite Chicago clubs, hosts Rehab every Monday night, in a balls-to-the-wall setting packed full of young hip dancing maniacs!  It’s no wonder Paper Magazine donned this party “America’s Best Party.”  Derek Berry and Rick Carrico are the masterminds behind the Monday mayhem, who also DJ together as Team Bayside High alongside resident DJ Skyler.  This week they had out-of-town guest Cor(E)Yography from St. Louis.  If it wasn’t the alcohol making me have a good time, it was definitely the music.  That, or seeing Rick hanging from the ceiling.  Chicago already knows where to go on a Monday, but if you’re visiting the Windy City, do not miss out on “America’s Best Party,” Rehab.

After Rehab we headed over to Green Dolphin Street for Boom Boom Room, the longest running club night in Chicago!

We started our Chicago weekend with a bang at Disappear Here.  A weekly Thursday at Angels & Kings, Disappear Here features the best in New-Indie music.  DJing alongside residents Heaven Malone, Midnight Conspiracy and Angry Panda, were Jason Tyler and Alex Zelenka.  Disappear Here is a great party to check out every Thursday at Angels & Kings.  The photos below feature mainly Disappear Here, but also include Spybar(the official afterhours for Disappear Here) and Stardust at Berlin.

On April 3rd, we went back to Chicago for our monthly appearance at XOXO in Chicago!  Since leaving a month ago, this was the first time back and it was packed!  It was great to see the same smiling faces as when we were still living in Chicago, and we can’t wait for our next Chicago friday on May 1st!  We also started XOXO in Miami, so check out those pictures as well!  We love you Chicago!

This post contains more than just the XOXO party from last friday, as it includes a house party as well as N.A.S.A. at the Abbey Pub last saturday!  Three exciting nights that I am going to cram into one post and call it XOXO to Chicago!  We are now living in Miami, South Beach to be exact.  However, Jason Tyler and Dustin Edward will be coming back to the Crocodile in Chicago every first friday of the month for a good ol’ fashioned XOXO get-down! XOXO continues every friday thereafter with Kid Color and friends bringing the music and the fun!  That being said, we will see you all on April 3rd at Crocodile!! Stay warm:)

We started last friday off with the Verse Fashion show which had a huge turnout of 150+ people crammed into the basement of Crocodile!  Check out Ryan Mitchell’s photos from the fashion show here.  After the fashion show we jumped right into XOXO.  Crocodile was packed from open to close, proving XOXO is the place to be on friday nights!!
