The last XOXO of January featured Kid Color and Miss Gab joining Jason Tyler and Buster Brown on the decks!  And, like every XOXO, it was fun from start to finish.  Mr. Tastee’s was there as well, with his hand-made jewelry. (check out the XOXO necklace in the pictures below!)  February will be just as fun, even more fun, as it gets warmer and we continue to showcase the best in dance music here in Chicago!!  See you this friday!!

If you haven’t been to XOXO on friday nights at the Crocodile yet, you’re definitely missing out on one of Chicago’s top friday night Dance Party’s!!  There is never a cover, free pizza and the best dance music around!  Last friday we celebrated Lance Milk‘s Birthday, who DJ’d alongside Jason Tyler and Buster Brown.  It was packed 10-2 with people dancing!! Lance Milk layed down a killer set, followed by Jason Tyler playing the trumpet over his set!  Check out this set of pics from last week, and be sure to come out this friday to XOXO at the Crocodile!

XOXO last friday was great! We had JoJo Baby and Daniel Tiger as special guest hosts along with Goldar joining Jason Tyler and Buster Brown on the 1′s and 2′s.  I filled up my CF card, which means it was a pretty eventful night! XOXO last friday was a ton of fun! Featuring a LIVE performance by the Dirty Diamonds, XOXO continues to bring you the best acts every friday! “XOXO,” Wicker Park’s new Friday night Dance Party at Crocodile, kicked off in convincing fashion with a live performance by Yoko Homo.  His intense performance led up to the climax of the night, when Jason Tyler grabbed hold of the audience through his trumpet and dance music.  Clayton Hauck of Everyoneisfamous also DJ’d an awesome set!  Check out the photos of our kick-off “XOXO” party!  Next friday we have the Dirty Diamonds performing live, as well as resident DJ Jason Tyler.  See ya there!

After celebrating Christmas, we headed up to Minneapolis for a couple nights of mayhem.  After a pre-party with some friends, our first stop of the weekend was Envy, a sure favorite of anyone looking for dance music on a Saturday night!  Jason Tyler was sure to fill the floor upon taking the decks over, and packed the back room before leaving for the Saloon.  The Saloon was an awesome transition, as it was already packed with people waiting on the arrival of Jason.  Sure enough, Jason took no time in getting everyone up on their feet and dancing, which isn’t very hard when you hear a trumpet blazing to the beat.  Minneapolis was definitely a blast!  I always know a fun weekend by still being hung over come monday.  Check out the “City of Lakes,” and let me know what YOU think!

The Grand Opening of Crocodile, hosted by Dustin of PartyLikethis.com, helped establish the Crocodile as the new place-to-be in Wicker Park.  The awesome trio of DJ’s Jason Tyler, Lance Milk and Rand Sevilla kept people dancing all night! JoJo Baby also made an appearance! If you missed our first event, don’t worry, we are throwing a FREE NYE party at the same location!  After NYE we will be hosting every Friday at the Crocodile, jam-packed with local bands, rockin’ DJ’s and surprise hosts!
