Here is something new to PartyLikeThis! Starting this week, PLT will feature a “Track of the Week.” The only guideline to the Track of the Week is that “It has to make you want to get up and dance!” If you made a track or really like a track that makes YOU want to dance, send us an email at partylikethis@gmail.com
Milky Way, was the name of the Stardust party last thursday, featuring Rand Sevilla and Jason Tyler DJing from open to close! Jason Tyler celebrated his birthday by laying down a flawless set of banging music that had everyone on their feet. The party was hosted by Miss Mini, Scott Cramer, Bobby Pins and Rew, all packing fun and people into Berlin! Check out the pictures and Berlin on thursday nights for the weekly Stardust party!
If you haven’t already seen Jason Tyler’s first music video “Run Around,” you must have been living under a rock for the past two weeks. From the same guys who brought you the Cool Kids “Black Mags” video, comes another awesome music video. Featured on Urb.com and numerous music blogs, this video is sure to grab your attention and take you along for a “Run Around” of Chicago. From bikes built twice the height as normal to bicycles built for two, and from club-kid JoJo’s attic to an alley with Jason blaring the trumpet this video shows what summers in Chicago really are, away from mainstream. And if the video isn’t enough to get you out of your chair and dancing, check out the awesome remixes from Udachi and Rico Tubbs along with the original track, all for free!!! Get them here!

Election night was nuts if you were in downtown Chicago! Obama gave his speech to an estimated quarter of a million people huddled around numerous gigantic televisions. Downtown Chicago was completely immobile to all vehicles after Obama’s speech, as hoards of people walked back to the trains. Check out these photos from the day we were all waiting for.
Halloween was anything but planned out this year. After going to Pilsen for a house party, we weren’t even there for 5 minutes before the scariest costumes of the night showed up and shut it down. With people standing on the street dressed anywhere from male versions of Pocahontas to the all-too-familiar painted skeleton faces, everyone was trying to figure out where the next party was at. Trying to avoid the most obvious parties going on around town, we decided to hit up some house parties for a change. Check out what Chi-Town had going on for Halloween this year.
This post is a mix between Pop Life, Vagabond and everything between. “Pop Life,” at White Room every saturday was filled with a young good-looking crowd. After leaving White Room we went to Vagabond which had to be near capacity. A little after party at the end as well. Check out these pictures from the city I miss!!
The “Institute of Sound,” a new monthly party at Indra Lounge was rockin friday night! Featuring DJ’s Jason Tyler, DJ ToyMaster, Matty Irish and DJ Lee Or. Thrown by Erich Neumann, Jose Cabrera and Donde Dave, the party definitely had the best in electronic music locked down and the place full of people ready to dance!
Whew it feels good to be out of the cold and in warm south beach! Here are some pics from last night and a little walk around Sobe yesterday. Although this isn’t my usual post, it will give you a feel for south beach and the Art Deco style of living.
…but Amanda was fierce! If you don’t know about Stardust now, then you missed out on yet another great party thrown by Scott Cramer and others. Amanda Lepore made Berlin go nuts! And if her stellar performance wasn’t enough, leaving the stage in her birthday suit was sure to make it an unforgettable night! Speaking of birthdays, this was Scott Cramer’s birthday party as well. The red carpet and volcano with bubbles provided the backdrop on an awesome kick-off to a weekly party sure to keep people coming back for more. Capcom took to the decks and kept the party rockin’ til 4. Check out Berlin on a Thursday night for what looks to be a promising party for months to come. Happy Birthday Scott!
“Hot Wax,” at Lava Lounge was an eruption of bangin’ music and 50-cent Sparks! Spinning records was Jason Tyler, 6:43PM and The Son, Hilary Rawk, and Avi Sic. Check out the pictures of the lively goodlooking crowd.
